Event industry in Rome

We start from the fact that Italy has been one of the first tourism power in world economy. Since the 1950s, Italy oriented its politics and economy towards tourism, becoming one of the most visited countries in the world. Italy may be not a country of major events or trade fairs, but has a great experience as tourism destination.

When describing the industry of events in Rome, from the experience of beon. Italy, we can highlight its majestic historical heritage, worldwide famous. Italy welcomes millions of tourists and events every year, most of them fascinated by its ancient art and the Christian tradition. The country’s history and culture goes at least 2,000 years back. For events, there is not a more exclusive location in the whole world. An example of this is the lyric and ballet event at the Baths of Caracalla.

Depending on the type of event we advise our clients to choose one Italian destination or another. For example, for incentives, we would most likely offer Venice, Florence, Rome, or Milan due to flight connections. However, more and more we are promoting much less known destinations such as Bologna (Emilia Romagna region), Pisa and Siena (Tuscany region), or Napoli (Campania region). If our client is looking for even more exclusive areas, beyond the classic cities we have Taormina, Amalfi-Sorrento, Porto Cervo, or Alberobello-Ostuni. And we always recommend the southern beaches and the islands.

In this sense, beon. Italy offers something highly demanded: a single agency with its own production services, in-house technology, communication, logistics… all coordinated by international account managers. A 360-degree service that brings experience and know-how, without other intermediaries. An integrated service not many agencies in the whole world are able to offer.

To illustrate some of our last events, the biopharmaceutics group, specialized in innovative technologies and formulas Ferring Pharmaceuticals trusted beon. Italy for the logistic management of the annual meeting of their UK division. A total of 90 guests arrived in Rome –city chosen this year- to attend the Ferring UK Conference.

beon. planned and executed the different logistic services at the Sheraton Hotel in Rome, a privileged venue in the EUR, a residential and business district, between the historic center and the Fiumicino airport, a location that facilitated the logistics management and the coordination of attendees.

For four days, the different divisions alternated both plenary sessions and meetings together with dinners and lunches in selected locations, aiming to showcase the most touristic enclaves of the city, sometimes accompanied by entertainments typical of the region.

Another event highlight was a team building activity through the historic center of the capital. Divided into several teams, participants had the opportunity to discover the city by solving questions and riddles launched on an app. The objective was to learn more about the place in a fun and original way, while fostering their team spirit.
