We ask Flora Rebollo, Head of Decor and Interior Design at beon. Worldwide, how is the process of decoration in corporate events.
Which decor trends are in this season?
Fabrics have a crucial role in this season’s trends. The elegance of velvet or the fresh touch of natural fibers, together with the furniture mix of styles, endow spaces with an elegant, sophisticated ambiance. A modern look that blends the boldest designs with the most contemporary ones.
Flowers are a must this year, especially those in big patterns. Designs that fill with colors any corner we want to highlight.
In sum, both classic and modern, abstract design are now in vogue.
What inspires you when designing an event decor?
The brand image influences a lot the personalization of the event. In addition, the claim and what it conveys, but the space we are working in is also a source of inspiration to me: its ambiance, luminosity… makes you make a project from scratch or contributes a lot in your planning.
Any challenges ahead?
Without any doubt the projects that include themed spaces. These are the projects in which DECORATION is written in capital letters, since we can focus even on the most insignificant details, leaving behind our obsession with balance or beauty. Projects in which we must leave our comfort zone to boost the story that we want to recreate, taking attendees to another place, dimension, or era.
What basics would you highlight when it comes to event decor?
Event planners must compile all the information possible, know their client, visit the space to maximize its possibilities and transmit the corporate message in the best way possible.
