“Versatility and adaptability are crucial when facing a new event space”

This week we talk with Jesús Aguilar, our Audiovisual Production expert, who affirms that the key to success is a harmonized team that shares a common goal.

What new techniques are applied to production processes?
The new approach towards a careful production are branding and a constant technological innovation. Thus, leverage all the resources possible and update yourself is the best strategy to follow.

Is pre-production the most important phase in audiovisual production?
In my opinion, yes. A carefully planned pre-production avoids in a high rate the number of contingencies with both clients and suppliers, a problematic that is very common in this industry, on the other side.

Which elements (sound, lighting, stage design) are essential in the production of a project?
I would say that the human factor has greater importance over technique. The human touch and excellence must always be a major guidance, as any team working in sync with a common goal is the key to assured success.

What aspects has to convey the area or space in which an event is going to take place?
You always expect that the characteristics of a given space or venue are the most favorable to develop an event: technical equipment, sufficient power, adequate loading/unloading areas, right access to wider spaces… but I think that, above all, versatility and adaptability are crucial aspects when testing any event space.

Within audiovisual production, no project resembles another. What attracts you the most of this field?
Our power of resetting and facing very different challenges each time without lowering your guard without forgetting where you come from, or what is your experience behind.
