Markit discovers Barcelona on incentive trip

Markit, an international company from Estonia that provides global companies with the best IT online purchasing system and service – celebrated their latest achievements with an annual Markit Summit event in Barcelona. The chosen destination welcomed all Markit employees of more than 100 guests during three days in which the city’s culture, art, and gastronomy captivated the audience.

beon. Worldwide has been responsible for planning and executing the event Markit Summit 2019, which gathered participants from different European countries and focused on three key aspects: inform, inspire, and entertain.

On this occasion, beon. has been in charge of the event management executing the production, stage design and manufacturing, set-up, materials logistics, and attendees’ transfers.

Thus, the guests enjoyed various typical activities such as visiting the Sagrada Familia and the most emblematic corners of the capital, or taking a private tour at Camp Nou, which included a reveal of a 30-meter banner dedicated to the event. Another visit highlight was the Caves of Codorniu and the emotion and adrenaline of the Castellers, a team activity inspired in the tradition rooted in Catalonia, building more than one castell where the professionals encourage the participation of some guests.

La Llotja was the space chosen to take a tour of the company’s trajectory through a commemorative exhibition and analysis of the last corporate years. This Neoclassical building that hides in its interior one of the most unknown treasures of Barcelona’s Gothic style, was the venue that held the gala dinner.

As music is important part of Markit then leading Estonian bands had a prominent part during the event. Among them, Ewert and The Two Dragons and NÖEP were responsible for setting the last night and put the finishing touch to this event.
