Tell us something about your daily work.
In short, I am in charge of supervising the projects that land at our department, reviewing budgets, event logistics, audiovisual material, negotiating with suppliers, projects distribution, and coordinating production in our own events.
Which three aspects are mandatory when it comes to the management of the AV material logistics?
The organization, the availability, and the necessary personnel.
For the logistics of our material to be effective, the first thing we have to do is to have the appropriate personnel for the preparation of the material. This team organizes all the material for its rapid preparation and use. It is crucial to know the material available for every specific event and, and how to replace it, with similar characteristic and quality, if a given equipment is already being used in another event.
When there is a situation in which several events coincide in the same day, what is the first thing that you propose to attain a successful planning and executions?
The first thing we consider is the availability of the material. Our goal on a daily basis is to optimize what we have, and when event dates coexist, we try to organize the schedules in the best possible way, even with our collaborators and suppliers.
According to the latest demands, what type of material is getting popular this year?
Throughout the year, we receive requests for material of all kinds. Venues and spaces always need of a good lighting and a great sound system, but no doubt, the most demanded elements are LED screens. Since their acquisition last year, there is no event that has not use them.
Looking forward, what new trends would you think will see by the end of the year?
The market is bringing more and more innovations in audiovisuals, so we are starting to use transparent screens, LED screens with robotic arms, and screens with incredible definition…
