beon. Worldwide welcomes Avantine to the Group and empowers its position in the creative industry

beon. Worldwide, the leading international agency with 100% Spanish capital and headquarters in Seville, reinforces its position in the communication sector with the addition to their business strategy of the agency Avantine.

This is the second acquisition that beon. Worldwide completes in less than two years, after adding the veteran Sörensen, events and advertising agency settled in Barcelona y Madrid.

Thus, beon. takes a giant step and positions itself in the TOP 10 of the independent agencies of the creative sector at the national level, plus the leading group of global communication services in Spain.

After twenty years of history, Avantine has become a recognized leader in Andalusia in the provision of creative services through a body of 52 professionals and with top national firms in the company’s client portfolio: Mercedes, Estrella Galicia, Porsche, or Europcar, among many others. This agency has achieved in the last year several national and international awards such as the recognition of ‘Agency of the Year’ by both Agripina and Smile awards festivals –being in the latest the most awarded agency in Europe-, and the ‘Most Creative Agency’ in the Luxury Awards.
With this new acquisition, beon. empowers its Communication division, the area that comprises the creative services and communication portfolio, presenting a new structure of more than 100 specialized professionals.

beon. Worldwide enlarges its structure

More than 400 professionals are now part of this business group, structured around five divisions: ‘beon. Events’, specialized in the planning and management of events; ‘beon. Communication ‘, which offers advertising, marketing, communication and PR services; ‘beon. Production’, covering all audiovisual, decor, and stage production plus interior design, printing, and rentals; ‘beon. Entertainment’, specialized in show business, music, and artists; and ‘beon. Technology’, software and hardware development. In this way, beon. is positioned as a leading company in this industry with a portfolio of 360º in-house services.

In addition to Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Merida and Santander, beon. strengthens its presence in the province of Malaga and increases its number of offices in Spain with a new office in Huelva. As for the international presence, the company is in full expansion with offices in France, Italy, Portugal, and upcoming destinations in the next months.

Miguel Mora, and engineer with a Master Degree at San Telmo International Institute, has been an advertising professional for more than 20 years, as Global marketing director at Grupo Prasa, the largest independent real estate group, and Southern area director at INRED, the largest network of regional leading advertising agencies in Spain.

Positive numbers for the industry

Right now, the Advertising sector in Spain is covered by 37,920 companies generating more than 120,000 direct and indirect jobs, according to the National Institute of Statistics.

Data from the Spanish Advertising Observatory indicate that this industry shows a growing tendency, ascending line in the contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), business network, and employment rates. The contribution of advertising to the GDP has increased from 1.29% in 2015 to 1.31% in 2016. This implies an 8.3% growth with respect to the previous year. Taking into account the evolution during the last 5 years, a total of 10,000 new companies have joined the industry.

As for what these 37,920 companies represent in the business activity of Spain, advertising investment has reached 12,067 million euros according to InfoAdex. In terms of employment, there has been a growth of 15.9% over the previous year according to data from the Active Population Survey (EPA). In particular, according to the study there are 103,500 people active in the advertising sector, 90,000 self-employed and 72,600 employees.
The advertising industry generates more than 6 million jobs only in the European Union, representing 2.5% of total employment in Europe.
