Barceló Sevilla Renacimiento Hotel by Barceló Group has trusted beon. Worldwide to design and execute the re-enacting the adventures of Ferdinand Magellan in their facilities, on the occasion of the 500 anniversary of his travels around the world, a celebration that will extend until 2022.

The emblematic five-star hotel has chosen this milestone as a symbol for the city of Seville, reflecting its majesty in the hotel own facilities. Barceló commercial network, The Global Sales Team, gathered to attend an event in which the figure of Magallanes had a leading role.

After the attendees had visited the different locations and spaces offered by this hotel, the event was took place in its Atrio III, where a theme dinner was organized about the figure of the famous explorer and navigator. A space where the guests enjoyed a cocktail in a special ambience set in a typical market of the 16th century, where they were able to interact with actors representing the character types of that era.

During the dinner and through projected visual experiences, the adventures of Magallanes were recreated in three main acts in which a group of actors and dancers represented the voyages story. The spectacular focused on the most relevant stages of the explorer’s life: the departure of Magellan towards the unknown territories, the voyage itself, and the arrival in the Indies.

beon. Entertainment participated in this event creating the Magellan’s sailors troupe styling with a very authentic look. Thus, the main actor wore a wardrobe inspired by the portraits that exist about the explorer, with high quality fabrics, to transport the audience to the era of the travels to the New World.

Towards the end, attendees enjoyed a Balinese dance, displaying 5 exclusive headdresses bespokely created for the show, continuing with the beon. trademark of offering exclusive elements. In order to accomplish this costumes, our team selected exotic flowers inspired by Indonesia, and created a choreography with authentic Balinese dance music and body movements, recalling the ancient dances of this island.

beon., currently working in the hotel communication office, managing the web and social media contents, as well as the design and production of corporate materials, was responsible for the organization and implementation of this event tributing the figures of Ferdinand Magellan and Juan Sebastian El Cano, with the aim that attendees could relive this game-changing adventure that took
